  4. Two bits of @1WHO@3-related Trivia that I have to get off my chest.
  5.  
  6. 1) Look out for Mary Tamm (the original Romana) in Channel 4's `Brookside' 
  7.    soap-opera. Mary plays Barry Grant's latest girlfriend, described as a 
  8.    "sophisticated society widow", Penny Crosbie.
  9.  
  10. 2) The rumours about Richard O'Brien quitting Channel 4's `Crystal Maze' in 
  11.    order to become the `Next Doctor Who' have finally been laid to rest. In 
  12.    reality Rick quit CM to star, as the arch-villain, in the new series from 
  13.    Tyne Tees Television called `Ink Thief' which the ITV network are promoting 
  14.    as "a cross between Doctor Who and Alice in Wonderland.

  16.    I've seen some clips and, @1*technically*@3, I'd prefer to describe them as "a 
  17.    cross between The Borrowers, Star Wars, and Who Framed Roger Rabbit?" 
  18.    Deeply impressive indeed!

  20.    TTTV have obviously slung buckets of money at the production of `Ink Thief' 
  21.    and although it doesn't have the `look or feel' of Doctor Who, I think that 
  22.    a second series will be a foregone conclusion.

  24.    So cross out Ricky OB from your wish-list of `Doctors' for your next 
  25.    convention!
